Hybrid liquid crystal materials are the basic materials for liquid crystal panels, accounting for 3-4% of the total cost of liquid crystal panels, and are crucial for the performance of liquid crystal panels. The mixed liquid crystal is composed of liquid crystal monomers and additives.
Due to the fact that any liquid crystal monomer only has one or several excellent properties and cannot be directly used for display, in practical applications, multiple liquid crystal monomers with some excellent properties are selected and a small amount of additives are added to modulate them into a mixed liquid crystal with the best comprehensive performance, meeting the various performance requirements of liquid crystal materials for display.
Most LCD manufacturers adopt a strict review process when selecting and verifying LCD materials, and conduct periodic verification to ensure the quality of LCD panels. Correspondingly, downstream panel enterprises have a certain dependence on upstream enterprises with reliable product quality and leading technology. Once a long-term cooperative relationship is established, they will not change their upstream suppliers at will.
At the same time, the development information and market demand information of LCD materials come from the client side. Only through strategic cooperation can we have the opportunity to obtain customer demand information, development sample verification, and information feedback.

Domestic market: TFT hybrid liquid crystal has just started
The main products of domestic liquid crystal material enterprises are liquid crystal intermediates, liquid crystal monomers, and mid to low-end hybrid liquid crystals, with a very low market share of TFT hybrid liquid crystals.
In recent years, due to the support of national industrial policies, the construction of multiple domestic high-generation panel production lines, and the gradual increase in cooperation and exchange with foreign companies in the same industry, domestic liquid crystal material enterprises have achieved significant development and have mastered a certain core technology, production capacity, and output foundation.
At present, there are more than 10 domestic enterprises producing liquid crystal materials, but most of them mainly produce intermediates and monomers. There are very few enterprises with mixed crystal production capabilities, and TN, HTN, and STN series of low-end liquid crystal materials are the main products. Their market share in TFT mixed liquid crystals is still relatively low. At present, domestic liquid crystal material companies are increasing their efforts to develop TFT hybrid liquid crystals, with broad development prospects.
